I am passionate about the human brain and nervous system, its structure, function and impact on individuals' participation in everyday life. I have a special interest in Functional Neurological Disorder,  Parkinson's Disease, and Stroke but my background in systems neuroscience serves me well in assessing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions.

My background in psychological science, PhD in cognitive neuroscience and neuroplasticity combined with my clinical practice has given me extensive experience in understanding, assessing and treating human cognition and facilitating optimal learning environments.  I have a special interest in cognitive impairment related to neurological conditions including but not limited to functional neurological disorder, dementia, and PD.

As an occupational therapist I am trained in assessing the complex person, environment and occupational factors that can interact to cause deficits in functional performance /occupational performance difficulties. I am experienced in generating reports to assist individuals in accessing funding options like NDIS and assistive equipment.

As a rehabilitation occupational therapist I am dedicated to helping individuals engage and participate in activities that are critical for their health and well being, this includes engaging in activities that enable expression of sexuality. For example, I am well placed to advise on appropriate positioning and adaptive/assistive aids that can facilitate engagement in sexual activity for those with acquired physical and/or neurological injury.

I am passionate about Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and ensuring individuals living with FND have access to appropriate assessment, treatment and supports. I am a member of the international Functional Neurological Disorder Society, am involved in several groups of health professionals with a special interest in Functional Neurological Disorder and continue to undergo professional development in this area. I offer beginner, intermediate and advanced educational and therapeutic courses focused on developing knowledge and skills to manage FND symptoms and enhance quality of life, tailored to each individual's unique needs and life circumstances. I am a  member of the LGBTQIA+ community and I am passionate about improving the healthcare experiences of individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. I currently run employee capacity building education sessions for local organisations. These include education  on LGBTQIA+  terms and inclusive practice. I am also currently facilitating drop-in sessions for inpatients identifying as LGBTQIA+ at a local private hospital. Please contact me if you would like to host a session within your organisation.
